A hands on cooking course by
"La Bottega del 30"
The
school consists of a spacious modern kitchen well equipped with
ten actual work areas and stove tops. Here the students learn by
doing the basic cooking techniques. Next to the modern kitchen,
another room hosts a wood-burning oven for baking bread and a fireplace
where the students have the rare opportunity to immerse themselves
in a true Tuscan way of cooking.
Every students has his individual cooking station - a stovetop and
a cutting board with all the necessary utensils for the preparation
of the recipes.
Each class ends with lunch, allowing the students
to savour the food prepared during the lesson, sipping the wines selected
by Mr. Franco Camelia, in a kind of "trip" from Piedmont to Sicily
to discover almost unknown wines that are like a niche in the best
Italian wine production.
Wine cellar, library and videoteca are at students' disposal. Courses
are run from Monday through Friday focusing on the successive stages
of a meal Classes are limited to 10 students.
